THANK YOU TO EVERYONE THAT RODE, PARTICIPATED AND SPONSORED
THE 5TH ANNUAL HOOKED ON HEALING VETERANS RIDE MARCH 7TH, 2020
Thanks to all of our supporters including riders, sponsors, donors of all varieties, event vendors and exhibitors, all of our volunteers, and our host Desert Wind Harley-Davidson. We experienced a banner year from almost every angle but most importantly our ability to financially support the work of the Phoenix program of Project Healing Waters Fly Fishing and the 125+ veteran families they engage with every year! Thanks to warm weather, an awesome lineup of games and other activities, lots of free ‘stuff’, and big cash prizes for the Poker Run our ridership was up significantly this year. It was a great day to be on the road doing good things. The Hot Air Balloon raffle, a Sunrise ride for four with Rainbow Ryders, was won by Glendale resident Jessica Hermann. Jessica says she can’t wait to fly!
In the five years the San Tan Rotary Foundation has been presenting the “Hooked on Healing Veterans” ride to the Maricopa County riding community all of you together have served to directly contribute more than $30,000.00 to our disabled veteran community through Project Healing Waters Fly Fishing! Congratulations to all of us!
Save the Date for our 6th annual ride coming up Saturday March 6, 2021 starting and finishing at Desert Wind Harley-Davidson. Watch for further news and updates between now and then on Facebook.com/healingvets and www.healingvets.org.
